Nutrition Program

Nourishing Youth with Healthy Habits and Hope
Supported by Seeds of Hope the Nutrition Program, the Northstar Nutrition Programhelps to address food insecurity for students who attend the Collaborative Day Treatment Program.
The Nutrition Program’s goal is to provide hands-on nutrition education within our Collaborative Day Treatment Program to help our youth develop life-long eating patterns consistent with Canada’s Food Guide to Healthy Eating. We aim to influence positive eating behaviours by creating an environment that is supportive of healthy eating habits, where youth learn valuable skills, and gain confidence. The program provides ample therapeutic opportunities and builds a sense of community.
Client Special Needs
We have many young clients who are experiencing barriers and are living with economic hardship – on their own, with their families or in alternative settings. Through donated funds we help support a wide range of needs like transportation, hygiene products and new clothing. Financial support makes it possible for us to assist youth in reaching their fullest potential. Consider donating, to support the needs of youth in our community so that they can thrive.
